A traditional bonfire night with fireworks. For the best and safest bonfire night in Birmingham, get ready for a night out under the stars at Pype Hayes Park, Erdington. There's a funfair, music and not forgetting the fireworks. Stay warm with hot refreshments and soak up the glow of the bonfire.

Programme: Gates open - 5pm, funfair start at 7pm, bonfire lighting 8pm, fireworks and music at 10pm.

Grab a taste of German culture at the Birmingham Frankfurt Market which returns to Birmingham's New St and Victoria Square.

Soak up the atmosphere and explore over 180 beautiful stalls selling jewellery, handmade toys, ceramics, candles, glasswork and traditional Christmas decorations. Perfect for visitors in search of that perfect Christmas gift.

Visitors to the market will also be able treat themselves to the finest of traditional fayre, including bratwurst (grilled sausages), waffles, glühwein (mulled wine) and punch.

See the stars turn out in Birmingham to celebrate the start of the Christmas season, Millennium Point will be transformed into a vibrant arena of fun with hot food stalls fairground rides and a huge open-air stage, with the festivities beginning at 2.30pm.

The event will end with a spectacular fireworks display and the annual Christmas light switch on.
