A canal cruise for Kidney Kids

BBC WM's Siôr Coleman hosted a cruise around Birmingham's canal system in aid of the Kidney Kids Appeal on Thursday 9th July 2009. See the photos.

The evening began at the BBC Open Space in The Mailbox, with live music provided by Boyce and Sranley and a blessing from Bishop Andrew, the Bishop of Aston.

The cruisers then set off in in a narrow boat for a tour of Birmingham's industrial heritage before going out to scenic Edgbaston.

Siôr's show on Sundays features inspiring music - so he played a number of requested items and also introduced Lisa who sang live at the Vale in Edgbaston where the boat moored for a short break.

Don't forget to listen to Siôr's show - Sunday mornings from 6am on BBC WM 95.6FM
