The BBC Code of Conduct for competitions can be found at www.bbc.co.uk/competitioncode. 2. The competition is open to all workforces in WM’s area except BBC employees and anyone connected with the competition. The Editor reserves the right to reject an application to take part based on suitability. Workforces will be deemed to be a minimum of four people. 3. Entry to the competition is by first applying to BBC WM’s Afternoon Show calling telephone number 08453 00 99 56 between 2pm and 4pm or to the Afternoon Show office 0121 567 6038 in normal office hours to apply to take part. Phone calls will be charged at the standard rate. Workforces can also apply by e-mail to mark.newman@bbc.co.uk or via post to The Afternoon Show, BBC WM, The Mailbox, Birmingham B1 3AY. 4. All entrants must supply the name and work address of the lead contact in the workforce and a daytime telephone number which can be used to contact the workforce daily to take part on air. The BBC will only ever use personal details for the purposes of administering this competition, and will not publish them or provide them to anyone without permission. Workforces will take part live on air on BBC WM for five days – Monday to Friday in one week and will be expected to answer questions of a wide ranging nature. A cumulative score will be added up over the week culminating in a total on Friday which will be added to a leader board of workforces’ scores. If a workforce is unable to be contacted on any day they may be disqualified from the competition. 6. The prize consists of a trophy which will be awarded to the highest scoring workforce after the competition has run for a specified period of time. Play off heats may be held if more than one workforce has identical scores. 7. The prize is as stated. There is no cash alternative and it is not transferable. 8. The BBC's decision as to the winner is final. No correspondence relating to the competition will be entered into. 9. Entrants must agree to take part in any post-competition publicity. 10. The BBC reserves the right to cancel or alter or amend the competition at any stage, if deemed necessary in its opinion, or if circumstances arise outside of its control. 11. If the winner is unable to be contacted the BBC reserves the right to either offer the prize to a runner up, or to re-offer the prize in any future BBC competition. 12.
