The Soul and Motown night @ the Brookfields Club
BBC WM's Jenny Wilkes invites you to a party at the Brookfields Club in Wolverhampton on Saturday 4th April 2009.
There'll be a top line-up of DJs, including Blue Max, Gaz Lees, The Sunshine Girls, Allan Day and Kenny Lee, plus BBC WM's Jimmy Franks and of course Jenny herself.
Jenny has organised the night for BBC WM's Kidney Kids Appeal. She says:
James Brown - godfather of soul.
"I'm really grateful to everyone at the club, all the DJs and the organisers. They're all donating their time and services so that we can make as much money as possible for the Appeal.
"It's great to play all those songs which mean so much, including Motown, Philadelphia, Stax and Northern Soul. I'm always dancing round the studio, but now I've decided to take the show out for a real party!"
Where will the money go?
All of the money will be going to The BBC WM Kidney Kids Appeal which is aiming to raise £1.5 million to build a brand new child kidney unit at Birmingham Children's Hospital. For more details about the appeal click here:
Jenny's Soul and Motown Party will be held at The Brookfields Club, Cannock Road, Shareshill, Wolverhampton, WV10 7LZ on Saturday 4th April, 8pm-1am.
The club is easy to find. It's just 400 yards off Junction 11 of the M6. Take the A460 to Wolverhampton and the club is just along there on the left.
How can we get tickets?
