Get ready for some fiery Latin flavour! The 16th annual Latin American Festival takes place in Birmingham's Victoria Square on Sunday, 13 July. Expect dancing, music, workshops and much more as the centre of Birmingham becomes a feast of colour and fantastic sounds. ![]() Judith Aguilar and John Vasquez Birmingham will be going salsa crazy as the Columbian Salsa World Champions John Vasquez & Judy Aguilar will be performing at the festival. Bands from Mexico, Peru, Brazil, Cuba and beyond will also be bringing the centre of Birmingham to life - Whist local acts will also be taking part. When the event winds down the party moves to The Living Room on Broad Street for the After Festival Celebration Party. Visitors to the festival will be able to get involved and try different styles of dancing including merengue, bachata and of course salsa - Not to mention a conga on the square! Visitors will also be able to sample Latin American food and discover the culture, traditions, crafts and folklore of the region.
