What crazy antics are you doing?

This year Children in Need takes place on Friday 16th November. Let us know what fun or crazy antics you'll be getting up to.

Children in Need takes place on Friday 16th November '07. Every year thousands of people do fun crazy things to raise money.

As usual, we'd like to hear what crazy antics you'll be getting up to for this year's Children in Need. It might even give someone else a bit of inspiration in their fundraising.

Don't forget to send in pictures of your fundraising events.

Class 7G had a cake sale at Lichfield Cathedral School today and raised £ 297.00.Thanks to everyone who donated and bought the cakes.

At our school we had a "Pudsey's Been Kidnapped"where we had to pay 20p or more to get a clue to find pudsey, there were two robbers running around,and when everybody was having lunch they hid behind the curtains and shouted "WE HAVE GOT PUDSEY!"and everybody screamed,,and lots of money was raised,we also had a sweet sale at our break time which raised alot,there was a lot of scrambling involved!we hope you raised a lot of money!x

Birmingham City University - BA Primary Education
We've spent today in uni in fancy dress, waxing legs, selling cakes and having a great time. Amount so far raised is just under £400 with more money on its way!

The guys for halifax hea in quinton have dressed up in fancy dress and raises just over £200 buy running a raffle and getting customers to donate. Plus we looked good. However there is still time to donate if you want the branch is open tommorw to get up and give.

Heathfield School, Wolverley
We have paid £1 each today to wear our own clothes with everybody wearing something yellow. The lower junior school did a sleep walk in their pyjamas and sold pudsey bear biscuits to all the children and staff. Our oldest children dressed up in amazing outfits and did a line dance in assembly. We have raised well over £500 with more coming in.

We've been raising lots of money in school over the past few days for Children in Need, the Staff have been dressing up in school uniforms which was great fun and pupils were taking part in lots of school events and paying for the privilege.

The pupils of Selly Oak School CUSTARD PIED THE TEACHERS for 20P a go. Not sure how much we raised yet but the students had GREAT fun. (not sure about the teachers)!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PUDDLEDUCKS DAY NUIRSERY(GREAT WYRLEY & HEDNESFORD
Throughout October children and staff have been raising money by having a mad hair day,back 2 front day, wear yellow day, fancy dress day, face paint day and for the 16th Nov jim jam day. Two staff members have also travelled to nursery in their jimjams for extra sponsors!!!

This morning this local babysigning group raised 110.00 by holding a teddy bear picnic. All the babies dressed up as teddies to raise money from the teacher, cathy and two mums went head to head to in sign a thon raising 70.00. Parents donated cakes to sell and grandparents came along and donated their coffee money to the pot. We had so much fun!!!!

Yenton Primary School
All the staff have dressed up as children and the children have dressed up as staff. We are collecting copper coins in the shape of a snail's shell (spiral). We had a class assembly based on Strictly Come Dancing. This afternoon the Headteacher will be pelted with wet sponges. To finish the day we are going to have our Y-Factor (X-Factor yenton Style). Great fun!

our lerners have been coming in in pyjamas, dressed in fancy dress, a raffle for hairdressing dept and a raffle for the beauty dept, 2 lots of pudsy scratch posters, on Friday the beauty students are aiming to break a world record to see how mant leg waxes they can do and hairdressing students are doing a sponsored head shave, hair staff have ben paid to sing an ABBA song ( they dont know what we sing like yet).. sponsored silences, bad hair day and much much more.... we aim to beat last years record of raisng £368 and we are nearly there !!!!!!!!!

Walsall's New Deal for Communities
On Friday 16th November the people of Blakenall and staff of Walsall’s New Deal, Walsall Council’s Parks Service, Sure Start, and Eurest will be ‘dressed up to the nines’ to raise money for Children in Need.Walsall’s New Deal are asking the local community as well as schools and local businesses to join them in a range of fundraising activities, beginning with a fancy dress walk starting from the Blakenall Village Centre at 9am and continuing throughout the day until 3pm. The walk has been organised by Walsall’s New Deal Board Directors Mervyn Stonard, Doug Gill and Charlie Robertson. Leamore Park hosts a traditional sports day with egg and spoon, and bean bag races. Teams of 5 are invited to compete to become the ‘Sports Day Champions’. Local schools are being invited to take part between 10am -12pm with adults and young people over 16 competing from 3.00pm until 5.00pm, light permitting. Of course New Deal will be entering teams made up of staff and Board Members. Entry to the competition will be £5.00 per team of 5, with all donations given to Children in Need. To register your team please call Blakenall info Centre on (01922) 711228. Then if you haven’t had enough enjoyment dust yourselves down and why not grab a partner and come to the ‘New Deal Pudsey’s Barn Dance’ at Old Bloxwich Baths on Field Close. The event will run from 5.30pm until 9pm and includes a full range of activities like apple bobbing, face painting & Nail Art. The main attraction of the evening is Stephen Woodcock who will perform traditional country & western music and will compare dancing demonstrations. There will be prizes for the best fancy dress. Refreshments will be available with a BBQ provided by the Horizon’s Restaurant Team from Blakenall Village Centre. If you would like further information or want to get involved in any of the events please contact Victoria Westwood at the Blakenall info Centre on 01922 711228.

Friday 16th November at Willenhall Town FC's football ground. Charity match taking place involving two Wolves fan sites in order to raise money. Kick off starts at 7.45pm and admission is £1 adults, 50p children all going to Children In Need. All players are paying £10, as well as the referee and managers. Come along and show your support.
