The Beyond Midnight bus is a new venture managed by Birmingham City Council aiming to get young people off the streets at night and offer them guidance and support. The fully staffed bus is kitted out with a of variety facilities, including animation and sound equipment and food and beverage services. Onboard staff offer confidential guidance and support to youngsters aged between 16 and 19 on a variety of issues that affect young people, including information on pursuing careers in the music industry. Councillor Alan Rudge, Cabinet Member for Equalities and Human Resources, said:

"The Beyond Midnight bus is going into the heart of communities to engage with young people that are traditionally seen as hard to reach - those young people that may not attend youth clubs or be engaged in some form of education or employment."
