This was our second visit to Bennett’s for an overnight investigation in three months. The team felt that if this one was anywhere near as good as the first then we were in for a good night… and we were not disappointed! It was fantastic!!! Boardroom During the grounding meditation in this area, many members reported being physically touched by unseen forces. It was also felt that the boardroom has seen much paranormal activity in the past and that we were definitely not alone that night. Kitchen area Ade, Claire and Tony went down to the kitchen area to set trigger objects and picked up phenomena almost straight away. They closed a spring loaded door behind them to turn and find it was ajar. This door was not easily propped open!

During subsequent vigils, some team members felt the area had a definite oppressive atmosphere. In fact, one trigger object set up in this area was later found to have moved during the investigation. Stock room Claire, Emma, Jon, Neil, Tony and Les were in the stock room holding a vigil when Emma saw a blue orb of light floating between Les and Tony. Emma also saw a white shape in front of her that she feels was a face. Some team members had the sensation of being ’touched’ by unseen forces and Emma and Claire had the sensation of ’cobwebs’ on their faces at the same time. Unexplained thuds and bangs were also heard in the outside corridor during the vigil. Lower corridor

Adrian, Les and Kelly (bar employee) sensed a definite presence in this area. They experienced a hissing noise similar to that made by a cat, cold drafts that changed direction, and a series of knocks and clicks. Later during the investigation, Kris saw a ‘figure’ in the area and heard lots of unexplained noises including a very unusual screeching noise. Later in the investigation Jon, Claire, Emma, Tony and Neil were holding a vigil in the corridor when they experienced a ‘shifting’ mist near the lift door. It continued to grow and moved towards the group, stopping several feet in front of them.

Tony sensed the presence of a child in the area. The group continued to experience phenomena in the form of footsteps, furniture moving, pulling at clothes and male voices. The team also experienced several dark shapes standing by the fire exit signs during their vigil. Sub basement This is definitely the most active area in the building. Moving orbs were captured on video, some even raining down on Kris as he sat down during a vigil. A noise similar to a baby crying was also captured on video.

The team experienced being touched, having hair pulled, the sensation of being watched, cold breezes, dark shadows that quickly disappeared, the sound of footsteps running up the stairs from the sub basement, headaches, dizziness nausea and the general feeling that somebody or several spirits were down there watching the team in action. Spiritual sightings In conclusion, we feel that Bennett’s is one of the best locations we have visited and on both occasions that we have been allowed to investigate have been fantastic experiences.

During our first investigation at Bennett’s in 2006, the team made spiritual contact with a family who allegedly perished in a fire on the premises. We feel that the activity on the second investigation was linked to this and we were being observed throughout the night's events by several energies. Thanks to the staff of Bennett’s for their hospitality, patience and giving us the opportunity to experience what has been the most active place we have investigated to date. |
