One of Birmingham's favourite Christmas traditions is back in and around Victoria Square - Frankfurt Market.

Frankfurt is the biggest German market in the UK, and features more than 80 stalls selling a huge range of unique and unusual gifts including textiles, jewellery, ornaments and Christmas decorations.

Traditional hot food and drink is available too, including the ever popular bratwurst (sausage), warming gluhwein (mulled wine) and new for this year, German gluh beer (hot beer).

Whilst you can visit the market now, it will be officially opened by Alexandra, Princess of Hannover, on Saturday 18th November at 1:00pm. It will run until Saturday 23rd December.

Check out our photos of the festivities.
