Find out which city is better in this two-part Head-to-Head pitting footy teams, tourists & food.

They are both cities famous for their canals, but do Birmingham and Venice have much in common?

That has been the subject of several features recently on BBC Birmingham TV.

In their latest "Head to Head" contest, reporters Kylie Pentelow and Brady Haran sang the praises of each city.

Brady was supporting Birmingham, pointing out Brum had better football teams, fewer tourists and a wider selection of food.

"But most importantly, Venice has a fatal flaw… the city is sinking!" Brady said.

"There's absolutely no danger of that in Birmingham."

But Kylie, advocating Venice, said: "I love that there is no traffic in Venice… you never get stuck in traffic on the M6."

Of course, you don't necessarily need to leave the Birmingham area to have a "Venetian experience".

In the final feature of their series, Kylie and Brady showed viewers how to live like a Venetian without the trouble and cost of flying to Italy.

It included creating glass art (with Venetian tools), eating genuine Venetian cuisine and riding an authentic gondola on the canals of Birmingham.
