I am the author of the aforementioned website www.freewebs.com/theworldcupexperience, and I call on any fans that have travelled to Germany, or have just enjoyed the tournament, to get in touch, so as to get involved in the book when it's written. I want to hear about experiences other than my own, and maybe through this page I can get a lot. Thanks for any time you give me. Chris

Hi, my boyfriend's currently travelling round Germany, following the world cup (yeah i know) and he's writing about the matches, the cities and the fans from a fan's view point. He's got daily updates, photos, a comments page, a page asking for nominations for catagories such as 'best (as in daftest) haircut', 'face only a mother could love' etc and there's a contact email if you wanna get in touch with him.
His website is - www.freewebs.com/theworldcupexperience
Have a look, it's pretty cool
Thanks, Collette

i think england will get better as the tournamnet progresses, adn to get better we need our strongest side, now to say that owen is to be replace is to be honest pathetic. His goal scoring record speaks for itself, he has scored in ever major tournament and is a major part of our chances, Anyone who plays with Rooney will score, even you Tony Butler.

The positive thing is that England haven't played well but have won twice. However; we must stop giving possesion away so cheaply by playing the long ball so often. We won't get beyond the next round if we don't improve radically. We have the players but once again I fear Eriksson will be found lacking against the worlds best when it comes to systems and tactics. Prediction: Quarter Finals at best.
Philip
He's absolutely right!!

Prediction that England will do well to qualify the Quarter Finals stage.
I think Brazil will win it and outsiders I predict either Italy or the Czrch Republic as outsiders for this world cup 2006.

i dont think that england will win. i am patriotic but when there are teams like brazil with rhonoldinio (spelling?) in them we are goind to loose

It's vital England get off to a good start unlike in previous major championships over the last 20 yrs.
If we get generate early confidence, that could be the springboard to a top four finish but I can't see us overcoming Brazil or Agentina. They have flair and inventiveness. Our potential match winner is obviously Rooney and if he's fit enough to play a part in the latter stages, if we get through the group, then in one off cup-ties you never know.
We're at our best playing at a high tempo and attacking the opposition - not really Sven's method but then this is his last competition with England nad he just might surpirse us all.

i-think-that-england-will-do-well,but-only-if-sven-can-be-confident-of-possibly-dropping-famous-names-if-they-fail-to-perform.and-as-long-as-owen-hargreaves-doesn't-play!

As much as it breaks my heart to say it i think england will finish 3rd,or 4th place at best. i agree we have experience and youth but we are still making school boy errors in most departments at times.i don't think in the early stages this will matter to much , as i think england will go through the group stage with ease. But as england progress into the knock out stages and the games get a lot harder one error at the back and its game over. God i do i hope the lads prove me wrong but good luck to them .

Hi Tony,
I think your right but only if we pick a fit squad and not take players who will never kick a ball.
