Jimmy began his presenting career as a DJ in his father's youth club in Sutton Coldfield in the early 80s, becoming National DJ of the Year in 1988, an accolade he won again in 1995.

Since then he's been involved in a range of radio and television work and can now be heard over the weekends on BBC WM.

On Saturdays from midday, Jimmy brings you some great music from the charts of yesteryear and during the football season delivers the latest sporting updates ahead of that afternoon's big games.

On Sunday's from 2pm, Jimmy is joined by ELO drummer Bev Bevan for two hours of music and anecdotes as the two music lovers give you their thoughts on the current scene and reflect on bands from years gone by.

Outside of radio Jimmy runs his own Event Management Company and enjoys walking his little Westie dog "Albie".
