Daz Hale

Start your day the Daz Hale way! Daz presents BBC WM's Early Breakfast show from 5am every weekday morning and brings you the latest sports bulletins during Phil Upton @ Breakfast.

The Daz Hale way

The Daz Hale way

A former postman, Daz was born in  Cannock in 1968 and after leaving school formed a band called "The Moneygods", which released several singles and two albums.

While touring Daz was also doing freelance work and was a regular contributor to the BBC 5-LIVE show "The Way Out".

He joined BBC WM in April 2002 and quickly established himself as one of the station's leading football commentators and presented Sportsnight on Monday - Thursday evenings for five years from August 2004.

In October 2007, the dulcet tones of Mr Hale also appeared in soapland when he starred as himself in a couple of episodes of the BBCs "Silver Street". At the moment he still hasn't received a call from Mr Spielberg!

Now Daz is on early mornings, waking you up with a lively mix of music, entertainment, sports news, chat and very bad jokes!

Tune in to Daz Hale's Early Breakfast Show, weekdays from 5 - 6.30am on BBC WM.

Daz also brings his lively banter and quick wit to the Phil Upton @ Breakfast Show every weekday morning from 6.30am, with the latest sports bulletins.

As if that's not enough, football fans will still get to hear Daz's expert views and opinions over the weekends during his commentary on a variety of games during the football season.
