BBC WM's Danny Kelly

Danny Kelly

The heavyweight champion of the airwaves is back on weekday afternoons! Join Danny from 2pm Monday - Friday on BBC WM 95.6FM.

Danny Kelly

Danny's our token scouser - born and bred in Liverpool, (the blue half of the city!), he came to the Midlands when he was eighteen.

He's a fully qualified chef, having worked in New York and Spain, before going on to his second career in the used car business.

He went into journalism after getting a taste for radio on Coastline Radio in Nerja on the Costa del Sol in Spain.

Since joining BBC WM, Danny has presented the afternoon show, the late show and Sunday Breakfast.

He is also the "Undisputed Heavyweight Champion of the Airwaves" after winning a charity boxing match against a rival DJ from another radio station.

Danny is currently embarking on his biggest challenge though - losing two stones in four months for the BBC WM Kidney Kids Appeal.
