'Make My Day' exhibition

A new exhibition at the Periscope arts centre at Holloway Head in Birmingham mixes a sense of history with new photographic techniques as 'Make My Day' gives you the chance to chat to models who worked on the project.

The award-winning artist Faye Claridge, herself from Birmingham and a graduate of the University of Central England, is staging the event after a month working with people recreating scenes from the past.

Families with links to various occupations have been photographed and filmed surrounded by props that add meaning to the way different traditions have been passed on.

For the display, the venue will become a cross between a photographic or film studio and an historic theatre set. Visitors will get the chance to explore the site, discuss the works with models who took part and take a look at the photos and videos which were taken.

The exhibition takes place between Friday 17th March and Saturday 18th March,  12-6pm, at the Periscope on Holloway Head, Birmingham B1.
