With impressive cool-indie-rock energy they've just played 'The last time', 'Tonight it will fall', 'Mexico' (from their second e.p), 'Full of love', 'Molly grabber', 'Doves over the scrubs', 'This is easy' and 'In this we trust'. They close on the only song of theirs that I know, 'Far' - it's the one that has been on the radio and it sounds like a hit. It sounds better, grittier, live. I like this band. I've never seen them play before, I would like to see them again. Fan Stu Bennion knows more about Fuzz Valentine than I do.

"I've liked them since November 2004, when I saw them play in London." he shouts. "They're kinda all the things in the indie punk sound that you want to hear. They've got catchy tunes and I don't want to sound strange, but they're an uplifting thing to listen to. You feel up for a night-out after listening to them. "There's a big crowd here tonight, a lot of people who don't know the band, have come down to check them out. I think they're something special for the future." Paul Blades. After the gig, standing next to boxes of pint glasses: "It was really good. It's the first time we've played Birmingham and people were singing along".

What's next? "We're in management deal talks and we've got another CD coming out. It hasn't got a title yet, but it will include 'This is easy', one of the songs we played tonight. It's certain to launch us into indie fame!" I hope so. ==== Lots more information and downloads of their songs, at their website: http://www.fuzzvalentine.com |
