Muhammad
Hamza Khan, 15, and Matthew Paul, 16, are currently at the Central
Mosque in Birmingham as part of their two-week work experience.
In
the spirit of charity fundraising, the mosque decided to raise some
money for Children in Need and the boys were more than eager to
help.

The
teenagers from Braidwood Secondary School donned their Pudsey badges,
grabbed their specially prepared buckets and headed for the high
street and local schools from where donations have been rolling
in.
The
young volunteers will also collect during Friday prayers at the
mosque and collect in the city centre, not far from the mosque.
Matthew
Paul told said "The money we raise will be used towards helping
children and teenagers who really need our support."
The
two boys can lip-read a little but their main form of communication
is using British Sign Language (BSL).
Mosque
member of staff Adam Yosef felt it was an admirable act for disadvantaged
kids to be raising money for other children.

He
said "These are two young boys who are getting on with life
just like any other teenagers and as part of being active youngsters,
they are helping to collect money for other underprivileged children
which is something we should all look up to."
The
mosque office is collecting donations for Children in Need throughout
the month.
Children
in Need is a national charity launched by the BBC in 1980. This
year, they are celebrating their 25th Anniversary by having a big
Party for Pudsey, the charity's teddy bear mascot.
The
charity works with children across the country to better their standard
of living and opportunities in life. Children in Need day is on
Friday 19th November but the fundraising continues throughout the
year.
