Chris Milne

Chris was born in Mildura in 1950 then moved to Melbourne at the age of five. After leaving University with an engineering degree he worked as an engineer for eighteen months but quickly realised it wasn't what he wanted to do for the rest of his life. He says 'For some reason I had always been interested in films, T.V. and acting so I decided to do something about it'.

Chris joined a small theatre group named Tait Theatre in Carlton and at nights and on weekends he took lessons in acting and public speaking. Chris finally obtained some good parts on T.V. including the roles of the original Philip Martin in "Neighbours" and Ben Mazzini in "Water Under The Bridge". A chance meeting with Ian Smith ("Harold" of Neighbours), who was the story editor of a T.V. serial named "Prisoner", led to him writing for that show and eventually for "Neighbours."
