Alan Fraser is an author with many strings to his bow! Can you believe that along being a writer, he's also been a singer, a stand-up comedian, a jug band washboard strummer (A what????) And like the characters in his story Fiddlesticks, he's also tried his hand at being a magician and he's been a band leader and owner of his very own jazz club.

How does he find time to write?

Well he must find some spare hours in the day, because along with Fiddlesticks, he's also written another musically inspired book - 13 Pairs of Blue Suede Shoes. It's about a boy called Eddie whose dad is an Elvis Presley impersonator!
