Big Screen Leeds, launched in late 2005, can be found in Millennium Square. The square itself was a project to mark the year 2000 and is a purpose built events space. Big Screen Leeds has entertained audiences with events like the Carnival Queen, Big City Jazz, Light Night and Vaisakhi. It has drawn it's biggest audiences for the last two World Cups, with around 8,000 people watching the England games in the 2010 tournament.
