John & Cobie will be performing works by Poulenc, Telemann, Castelnuovo-Tedesco & Granados. John Mills studied with Andres Segovia, John Williams and Julian Bream and now is one of the UK's leading recitalists having given well over 2,500 concerts around the world. He is also Head of Guitar at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama. Dutch-born Cobie Smit studied at the Royal Conservatorium in The Hague. A fusion of Soul, Funk, Gospel, Blues and Jazz players from around Berkshire blend at the new Jam Club to create a fabulous sound for the core band. Bev sings, plays and directs the jam session to allow people who want to jam to come up and play with the core band - with a lot of interest from local musicians the session will be able to have really diverse nights of music at The Litten Tree on a regular basis. When the jam session has finished or during any breaks, there are guest DJ's to keep the mood going. Jazz Fusion music sessions.
A fusion of Soul, Funk, Gospel, Blues and Jazz players from around Berkshire blend at the new Jam Club to create a fabulous sound for the core band. Bev sings, plays and directs the jam session to allow people who want to jam to come up and play with the core band - with a lot of interest from local musicians the session will be able to have really diverse nights of music at The Litten Tree on a regular basis. When the jam session has finished or during any breaks, there are guest DJ's to keep the mood going. All musicians who play significantly in the jam session are offered refreshments for their efforts. The event needs more musicians and appreciators to come along and see for themselves how exciting this night of live improvised fusion.
