It's
comforting to know that even someone as busy and athletic as Harvey
can get ratted until the small hours. The So Solid Crew star was
nursing a hangover at 2.30pm when I rang.
"I'm in
bed at the moment," he rasps, "I went to the PFA (Professional Football
Association) awards last night and I didn't get home until 5am."
Thankfully
the garage music star can combine hangovers with physical exertion.
The 24-year-old
not only won Channel 4's The Games - a celeb reality TV version of
the Olympics - but is also a professional footballer who plays for
Lewisham FC.
On Sunday
23rd May he'll be at the Mad Stad in the Soccer Six tournament, where
celeb studs don the footie studs to play football for charity.
"It's
going to be brilliant," he says of Soccer Six, "this is my third year
now so I'm a bit of a granddad! We won it last year, but the main
thing is that it's for charity and that all your fans have a chance
to get close to you."
It won't
be the first time he's been to the Madejski Stadium, having travelled
there many times to see his mate Sean Davis play for Fulham Under
21s. He also played the Hexagon beginning of this year.
Apart
from football Harvey is a very busy man, working on a solo music career
as well as starring in his own TV show and presenting on Kiss 100
FM.
"I've
got my new show on Sky 1, Premiership Footballer's Pads, and I've
recorded an Asian track. I've just got back from making the video
in Bombay, it's called Whose That Girl Dancing. Also I've just recorded
a track with Simon from Blue, so yeah, quite a few projects."
After
acting in Steven Seagal's "Out for a Kill" 2003 he's also carving
out a film career. "That film has opened a lot of doors for me but
I can't say anything more than that at the moment". Ooh, mysterious.
So how
does he bundle all these careers into one life?
"It's
a lot of work, but if you want to be successful then you've got work
at it, if you sit on your ass all day you won't get anywhere."
Still,
Harvey manages to sit on his ass in bed all day and do amazingly well.
Come
and see Harvey play footie with other celebs including his missus
Alesha from Mis-teeq, Blazin' Squad, Starsailor, Snow Patrol Ralph
Little, Tony Hadley, Phixx, D-side and Goldie Lookin Chain.
