Most disappointing Womad for years. Security poor- a number of folk near me had to scare off tent burglars. Not enough Middle Eastern music ( if any) and hated having to walk through funfair to get to arenas. For me to return next year: 1. Some middle eastern female singers eg Souad Massi,Natacha Atlas. 2. Better perimeter security from River. 3. Move funfair out of way.

Sorry, do not wish to be pedantic but Coco the Clown (pic day 2 pic no. 32) is spelt thus not Koko. This is BBC Radio 3 after all!

The toilets were fantastic this year, clean and flushing! It might be an idea to build in some shade in the main arena, it was SOOOOOO hot.

Etran Finatawa - the true Womad Nomads - were without dought my personal highlight. I saw them play two concerts, attended their workshop and got their CD. Debashish Bhattacharya's Hindustani Slide Guitar and Tabla playing Brother, Subashish, came in a close second. All the other bands and the entire crowd come in joint third. And .... I met Charlie Gillet ! Wow, I met Charlie Gillet....hey guess who I met at WOMAD ..... Charlie Gillet, no, I realy did.........

Got robbed on the first night and wasn't a happy bunny. The line-up wasn't great, and Salif Keita whom I love was truly miserable! Won't be back next year.

I just thought I would say - some great photos here! I spotted the BBC Berks photgrapher on Friday evening - and the girl with the blonde hair was the most attractive I saw at the event! please pass this back to her if you can / know who I mean. Best wishes, Adam
