BBC Berkshire reporter Nejra Cehic went to Kisii to find out more.

Their lives are devoted to caring for siblings, school, and growing and preparing their own food. Now a Kenyan couple: Vincent and Abigael are trying to create a better life for Kisii's children with their Twiga Children's Centre. David is a 59-year-old carer for his elderly mother. He has been supporting the centre since 2008. He said: "We aim to help youngsters. Every time I go out to Kisii, the first thing that strikes me when I meet the children is their total lack of anything other than the essentials they need to live their lives."
