With the sad news that WWI veteran Bill Stone passed away aged 108 on Saturday 10 January 2009, watch his interview with BBC South Today's Ben Moore from 2007.

WWI veteran William 'Bill' Stone passed away at  the Masonic Care Home in Sindlesham on Saturday 10 January 2009.

Aged 108, he was one of the last remaining WWI veterans and he was the last British serviceman to have seen active duty in both world wars.

In 2007 BBC South Today reporter Ben Moore interviewed Mr Stone.

In the video Mr Stone looks back at his life as a young man during WWI and WWII.
