Peter Hook with New Order

With collector's editions of New Order's first five studio albums out now, I rang bassist Peter Hook to talk about his time in the band, as well as how Joy Division had the confidence to continue as a band despite once playing a gig where nobody showed up.

Peter Hook hit the headlines recently after revealing to the BBC that his last days in New Order felt like an "empty shell".

Here he explains what he means by that comment and talks about the other headline-grabbing issue relating to the companion discs to the new collectors' editions.

Full story here:

If you're in an unsigned band then at the end he dishes out some advice based on his own experiences.

And you can find out more about the making of Blue Monday.
