Windsor Castle Royal Tattoo 2008
The world's largest inhabited castle will be hosting its first ever Royal tattoo from Thursday 8 May to Saturday 10 May 2008. Regiments that have fought for Queen and country are coming together in a military extravaganza.

The Royal Tattoo will include musical and military displays from the Kings Troop Royal Horse Artillery, Household Cavalry, Bearskins, pipes, Busbies and many more. There'll also be demonstrations from recently returned units serving in Iraq and Afghanistan .
Throughout the evening, live narration will be accompanying re-enactments and shows telling the story of British soldiers who've been posted everywhere from The Balkans to Sierra Leone.
Special guests at the grand finale will be Her Majesty the Queen and HRH the Duke of Edinburgh.
BBC Berkshire has a series of shows lined up for the Tattoo. Andrew Peach will be speaking to the organisers and finding out how the show was created with such military precision.
There'll also be regular updates from our reporter, Roger Stamp. Plus David Sheppard will be presenting late night Royal Tattoo specials on Thursday 8 May to Saturday 10 May 2008 from 10pm to 1am.

Tickets cost £15 - £45. Car Parking spaces cost £5. Gates open at 6.30pm, performances start at 8.30pm. Tickets can be booked by calling 0871 230 5570.
The Windsor Royal Tattoo will be aired on BBC1, 3.25pm on Sunday 11 May 2008.
All profits raised from the event will go to The Royal British Legion.
