Reading FC and England left-back Nicky Shorey even popped by to lend his support. The RaW message continues to spread and after a summer at sporting events around Berkshire, the team had a successful two days at Newbury Showground. ![]() Graham McKechnie (right) helps a young commentator As well as listening to magical tales from storyteller Mike O'Leary, there was the opportunity to have a go at football commentary and an interactive BBC Radio Berkshire quiz to win a DAB radio. Hundreds of Max & Lara books disappeared in no time and dozens of parents pledged to enter the National Short Story competition.
