In this video, Ben Moore visits the elephants from the Pinawala orphanage, which was founded in 1975 and is state-run, but ran into severe difficulties when the tsunami struck, as Keerti Singham from the orphanage explains.

Ben also visits a cricket pitch that looks more like a mud bath for the elephants, but it's hoped that the ground will host a test cricket match at the end of the year. Finally, Ben explores the coastlines of Sri Lanka, where once the tourist trade boomed.
