With snow threatening outside it wasn't much warmer inside the Basingstoke Arena as RaW Ice Hockey hit North Hampshire for a second time. The Hampshire Library Service were there in force armed with examples of recently acquired ice hockey stock, a hockey quiz with prizes donated by the Club and a large supply of RaW storytelling postcards.

There was also an ice hockey limerick competition with the winning entries being read out over the PA system before the Third Period. The overall winner Steve Vickery was presented with his unique BBC RaW Powerplay ice hockey vest by Bison captain Blair Manning. Bison players will be visiting libraries in the Basingstoke area during February Half Term presenting quiz winners with their prizes, and Powerplay magazine will be printing some of the countless limericks written on the night. Steve Vickery's Winning Limerick "There once was a guy with no 'teef' Who played on a line with O'Keefe He'd been with the Vipers But now he's our sniper And he's gonna give Cardiff some grief." This is the second time the RaW campaign has linked up with the Basingstoke Bison. We've also done it with speedway and the Reading Bulldogs too.
