So together with the British Trust for Ornithology (BTO), BBC Berkshire has challenged wants you to create a special place in your garden for our feathered friends. Despite the inclement weather we gave away all our nestboxes away in a matter of hours. Did you get one of our nestboxes? We'd love to hear from you. Please send any photos and online diaries to: Didn't manage to get one? Thatcham town council are auctioning off a nestbox for charity soon. It's the one built by the Mayor of Thatcham, Alexander Payton, who successfully completed the challenge to build a nestbox in 15 minutes. Check out the council's website for more details. A garden bird watch survey has been running for the past 10 years and this year, with your help, we want to help to make it the most comprehensive yet. |
