It's been a while since Pop Toys last came out to play, but now it's back on Saturday 14 October with three acts to set the pace.

Headlining is Robert Sebastian - promoter Rob Sowden's new guise. Robert Sebastian's songs have sincerity, crafted with love and devotion.

Robert spends his days as the 'music man' playing music to people with learning and physical disabilities. His nights are spent promoting bright new bands in Reading and his legendary Bohemian Nights at the 3Bs. He has taken many a musician under his wing and encouraged talent to flourish - including a fledgling Morning Runner.

The Robert Sebastian sound is fresh and inspirational, yet full of universal nostalgia. Every song is part of Robert, a page in the scrapbook of his life for you to share.

Supporting Rob will be local favourites, The Colours, who stormed the Fez recently at their E.P. launch. The keyboard-pummelling indie rockers have invisible bits of string tied to your bootstrings to ensure your feet tap, stomp, dance and spring. They freely admit they have a bit of a camp element to their sound so Scissor Sisters, move over!

Kicking off the night will be the delectable newcomers Strange Fits Of Passion. Citing Pixies and Arcade Fire as their major influences, this toothsome quixotic quartet will win your hearts and minds with their dynamic blend of musical wizardry. Think of a luminous electric guitar weaved with melodic bass lines, a pinch of violin and banjo, topped off with Lou Reed hit 'n' miss vocal delivery entwined with angelic harmonies.

Sounds like you'd better get yourselves down there.
