The Reading International Solidarity Centre, based in London Street, is celebrating its 25th birthday in style. The institution, with the slogan "Think global, act local" has been at the forefront of promoting global awareness in the town, from education work with schools about global issues, organising the annual Reading International Festival, running the UK's largest Fair Trade shop, hosting a café/bar selling organic food and drink and growing an edible roof garden.
