Listen live: London Irish

After a summer of scandal, rugby is back and for London Irish it's a return to the scene of the heartbreak in May. They're back at Twickenham to take on Saracens.

Hopes are high at London Irish to go one further than last season and this year be crowned the English Premiership champions.

Samoa captain George Stowers and fly-half Ryan Lamb are two of the summer's high-profile signings.  Irish look to have more strength in depth than ever before.

The first fixture is something of an old-boys reunion for Irish.  Former player and coach Brendan Venter is now at the helm at Saracens.  He knows the Exiles as well as anybody so his new-look team is sure to prove to be a stern test.

You will be able to hear every London Irish game live on BBC Berkshire, starting on Saturday at Twickenham.

Listen to the whole match live on BBC Radio Berkshire on Saturday 5 September from 1430 with Graham McKechnie.

Simon
Any ideas why I can't get the commentary for LI v Bristol over the net? Can get every other game. Is it actually being broadcast?

The Sexy Mark Finnegan
Go you Irish!!!!!!!!! What a comeback

Rob
Excellent game there for LI. Good commentary, listened to it online. Even the extra bonus broadcast at the end there where Graham admitted he liked Mama Mia! Although I think someone forgot to press the stop broadcasting button!

MalcolmAtack
Its fabulas out here in the Virgin Islands, to listen to an unadulteratedly (slightly), bias but fab and knowledgable comentary from you graham. Always exciting from LI and you keep us on edge right up to the whistle. We will be back to our seats in Feb cheering on the team as usual wanting a top place for the Heineken, again!!

william park
go on u irish

Susie Bonewell
Another great commentary from Graham. I don't even like rugby but I can listen to his lovely voice all day long. S XXXXX

Joanna Murphy
LEEDS V LONDON IRISHGraham, An excellent commentary on a very exciting game. 10 minutes from the final whistle and are still shaking and totally drained,

John Thorogood
Come on you Irish, remember *The Fields of Athenry* we need to win Boys, All the best

Steve Paice
Merry christmas from Bendigo, Graham, glad we can celebrate with a win

Steve Paice
Hi Graham, great commentary today.I'm neither surprised nor disapponted with the end result. A bonus point woud have been great but conditions, the ref and the bounce of the ball weren't in our favour. Also Perpignan sound like a very strong side although a bit brutal at times.Hope you enjoyed your trip to France!

Joanna Murphy
Excellent Commentry by Grahmon the L/Irish VS Worcester game. I almost felt that I was there.

Steve Paice
Slow down and catch your breath Graham and enjoy a drink or three. What a game!Who can recall the doom and gloom of just a few weeks ago....was that really the same team?!Great commentary as usual and even better to hear Paddy nearly getting excited. I was just thinking before, I would have been happy for LI to have a 5pt lead at HT but I was actually really nervous that LI may squander a 21pt lead.I should never have doubted, should I. have a great week.

Steve Paice
Hi Graham, bet you're glad that's over. Sounded like a terrible game -I stayed up to listen hoping it would improve but... David bruised his shoulder early in the Wasps game and appears to have struggled with it since. A bit of a rest will do it some good.Sounded like a beautiful day in Reading today, wind and rain and cold. Dont envy you at all! Regars, S

Anni
i understand that this is Berkshire radio but everything i hear is about London irish and how they are playing. as this is the only radio covering it i would like if it the panel could possibly refer to Quins, for all of the quins supporters, a bit more because they cant be doing that badly if they are winning.

son of digger
woof woof, come on you irish

Simon jones
VERY sad, very disappointed. Who we going to blame this week? Discuss....

simon Jones
Missing Shane big time by the sound of it. He tackled like an animal last weekend and created like an artist. His flair is immense at such a young age. Here's too a speedy recovery Shane

DAVID BRENT
I THINK R/F TEAM ARE TRYING TO HARD THEY SHOULD RELAX AND ENJOY IT MORE.

june and john
sorry to miss the game today good luck to the Irishlooking forward to your commentary Graham

Denis Leahy
Why are Irih so inconsistent ? This a shadow of the side that played on Sunday

Irish Supporter
Talk more about the actual match, than your relationships with players or assumptions on how they are thinking and feeling. We want the facts, and match analysis if you know how to do that. Thanks

Fay
Can we have some slightly less biased commentary from these pair? They seem desperate for an Irish victory.

charliek
is it on main radio berkshire c,mon you Irish!!!!!!!!!!

E,C and J
We're listening over the internet in the Maldives on the last night of our holiday. It's amazing here but wish we could be at the game! Radio Berkshire is the next best thing though- thanks for the great commentary. It's 9pm here and we have to be up at 5 tomorrow to fly back but there's no way we're having an early night while this is on. Come on you irish!

MARIE HILLIARD
Tell Graham - that is is DELON ARMITAGES BIRTHDAY - I wonder if the ULSTERMEN will sing to him.

Rob Clive
Please can you resist the opportunity to update us on the score from the Millennium Staium? Most of us will be taping it during the LI match and it'd be such an anti-climax to know the result before we had a chnace to view the game!

Chester Fan
The sound from the Reading end is coming across loud and clear, but Graham cannot be heard live from Toulouse. When he is replying to your questions, there is slience being broadcast.

Big Andy
LI to win by 3!! If they play as well as they can no doubt a win for us, if they let the event get to them, oops, we could get a pasting, but I think we are head strong and can win this game.

Janet Whitfield
Say hello to Paul Hodgson, the family from Bognor are listening. Hope to see him back playing soon

Caspar Cox
Question for Ben Ryan. What is your opinion on the number of games our top players are involved in now? Premiership, EDF Cup, Heineken, internationals etc

Mr Emu
I'd like to ask the panel their thoughts on the outcome of todays match. Score prediction
