The summer of love CANCELLED

SVENGALI FEST HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO ISSUES WITH THE SECURITY COMPANY.

Anyone who has bought tickets can have them refunded by ticketmaster.

The first ever Svengali Fest may not happen until next year after organisers had to suddenly cancel this year's event.

The decision was made only a few days ago, with the stage already being constructed and adverts going out in magazines and on commercial radio stations.

The festival was to have not only a main stage with acts including Hayseed Dixie, Jah Wobble and The Levellers but also a local bands stage.

It is hoped that an alternative and more lowkey event will be organised for some of the bands in September at the Koko bar in Camden.

 The line-up would have been:

On the Svengali stage:

Lloyd Cole, Lorraine, The Levellers, James Lavelle, Jah Wobble, Hayseed Dixie, Don Letts and the Dub Cartel, Clay Hill and Alabama Three.

On the Marshall stage:

X-wife, Unkle Bob, The Trains, Syrus, South, Sub Due, Self Esteem, The Skies, Raising Sand, Loki, June, Hello Geiger, Go-Kart Mozart and Epeesstriday.
