It all started as a school concert. It's now become a popular Maidenhead festival at the Magnet Leisure Centre. Welcome to Dezfest - set up by three lads from Desborough school who wanted to put their local music scene on the map. Judging by the amount of bands who wanted to play but had to be turned away, it's an event that's been a long time coming. On the indoor rock concert's bill are six bands from the area: Out Cry Fire, Kill The Arcade, Pitchblend, No Made Sense, Bloodtrend and Until She Dies. It's all set for Saturday 15 July from 6pm at the leisure centre's Pearce suite. Tickets are £6 in advance, £8 on the door. There are 1,000 tickets available, which the organisers are hoping will all be sold. Especially seeing as proceeds are not only going into the school fund, but also The Association For The Blind and Thames Hospice Care. Help make this festival a success by coming along! |
