All tickets for this year's Reading Festival are now completely sold out.

From the 13,500 extra allocation of tickets announced on Friday 16 June, only 2,000 remained after those who had registered on a waiting list took up their respective allocations.

The remaining tickets were sold in minutes of phone lines opening to general sale on Tuesday 20 June at 9am.

Demand for tickets for this year's festival was the greatest ever but, for those who were unsuccessful, you can still watch the festival on BBC2 and BBC3 or listen to the bands on BBC Radio One over the Bank Holiday weekend.

i need a ticket to reading rock!!! :(

Ash
me and my friends tried to get tickets from 7 for 2 hours... after constant re-dials and internet-page-refreshing we finally got some at nine o'clock. Apparently tickets sold out at 8 so somebody must have cancelled our tickets or thier credit card bounced or something but we were so so lucky to get them. we went last year and really can't wait to go back!!!

Jazzie
It is ridiculous that companies are able to buy large amounts of the tickets and then sell them on at double the price. It uses up vital bandwidth on all of the ticket selling websites and forces to pay extortionate prices, when the company does not even GUARANTEE them a ticket.

Reading 2007 roumers...
...ive heard that Red Hot Chilli Peppers will be playing in 2007!

.
I went and it was amazing, the line-up obviosuly wasn't runnish if so many people bought tickets! Of course meanfiddler are going to put on what most of the people want, and if that's indie that's what you're going to get. Plus lock up stage had loads of other genres!

MeanFiddler sucks!
I agree - this is the worst line-up ever...

this is disgusting
most the tickets have been bought by people who are gonna just sell them on,means its gonna be more expensive for people that go, the line up is just radio 1, whats happened to the mix of punk, rock and metal its virtualy all indie, most of the regular goers will b priced out in the scramble for tickets, its the death of reading festival! its all about the money not the music

Flip Flop
Worst line-up ever (and yes that includes the Meatloaf year!) Franz Ferdinand - headliners? Oh dear.
