Soulwax returned late last year with the awesome album Any Minute Now.   They visit Reading in April for this special intimate warm up before they play the Brixton Academy.   Perhaps as famous now for being 2 Many DJs, this show will be the complete opposite.   This is a full live performance from the band.  Oh yes.

Not just studio or booth boffins like you might think, despite a predilection towards it, they are in fact a highly acclaimed band in their own right, that have been known to tear the roof off venues in their day, touring with their 1999 studio album Much Against Everyone's Advice.

They have also committed remix to wax as Soulwax for the likes of Felix Da Housecat (Rocketride), Ladytron (Seventeen), Kylie Minogue (Can't Get You Out Of My Head), Playgroup (Make It Happen), DJ Shadow (Six Days) and Sugababes (Round Round) among others.

Any Minute Now has been aided, abetted and inspired by their experiences, ups and downs, friends, colleagues, curiosity, boredom, scenes and sights, people and places. It is personable and introspective yet dark and uplifting in the same breath.

"You have to listen to the whole album as a whole to really understand where it's at, musically and lyrically its very different in places, but still very us," says vocalist Stephen Dewaele, one of the brothers behind both acts. "The reason we took so long over it, with the different versions of each track, and the mixing, we wanted to get it right, and make an album - album. We think you can listen to from beginning to end. It's hard for us to say what we want from the album, finishing was our biggest goal, anything else is a bonus."
