Look Mum No Hands

Look Mum No Hands are a punk band that formed at the end of 2003. The band have overwhelmed audiences with their fast, powerful, energetic and melodic punk songs. Find out more about the band below.

LOOK MUM NO HANDS

  • Dan Hazard - drums
  • Howard Rowntree - vocals
  • Chris Judd - guitar and backing vocals
  • Mr T- guitar
  • Matt Hayman - bass, backing vocals

Through the power of word of mouth Look Mum No Hands have been booked on a number of big shows even without the request of a demo from the promoter.
The band have so far played with a number of highly acclaimed British punk bands such as 4ft Fingers, Uncle Brian, Shootin Goon, Vanilla Pod and Abdoujaparov featuring Fruitbat of Carter USM fame.

The band together as a whole realise the importance of hard work in promoting themselves and continue to make quality songs that will stay in their fan's heads forever.

They have already held their own successful promotion night at a local live venue inviting their local mates bands to play alongside them with special guests Abdoujaparov.

Since then Look Mum No Hands have started to build up a strong following and regularly attract large crowds to their local shows. They have a sound relating to the Southern Californian skate punk sound with strong influences from bands like No Use For A Name, Lag Wagon and Strung Out.

The band's line-up in July 2003: Dan Hazard - drums, Howard Rowntree - vocals, Chris Judd - guitar, backing vocals (joined September 2003), Dave Bennetts - guitar, Matt Hayman - bass, backing vocals.

Dave Bennetts and Howard Rowntree used to play in a melodic rock band called Sharabang in the mid nineties. Matthew Hayman used to play in a Reading-based punk rock band called Jacksons Corner.

Chris Judd used to be in touring rock band Killing Desire and has played throughout the south of England playing such cities as Bristol, Swindon and London.

Dan Hazard has had a mix of punk bands such as TBA & King Joshi, he has now since settled in Look Mum No Hands. Since that line up (December 2004): Dave Bennetts has since left the band to pursue his career interests and has since moved away to Munich in Germany.

New guitarist Mr T has replaced Dave. Mr T has joined the LMNH family and has a wealth of band experience. He has played with Newbury-based punks Second In Line and Reading-based punk band On Trial.

He has toured more or less the whole country with these bands and also Nobodys Heroes, Snatch and Claims Direct and notched up shows with Marky Ramone, Anti Flag, Leftover Crack, Conflict, Subhumans, The Business, GBH, Blaggers ITA, 4Ft Fingers, Lightyear, Vice Squad to name just a handful, and is a valuable member to Look Mum No Hands.
