What started as a mere jam session in February 2003 turned into what we all know and love today as “The Alfredo Contract”. Four friends from Maidenhead going by the names of Nobla (real name Adam), Aaron, Zach, and Harry all shared a dream to breathe new life into the ailing local heavy metal scene. They set about their quest by gathering together with their instruments to try and create an awesome haze of metal madness.
Surely enough, the four members of the metal militia clicked; the line up was decided. It consisted of Nobla “Riffmaster” on rhythm guitar and lead vocals, Aaron “Lighting Fingers” on lead guitar and vocals, Harry “Jerrrkbwain” on bass guitar, and Zach “King Kong” on skin-bashing duties.
Our shared influences are Metallica, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Kyuss, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC etc. These legends helped mould our sound into heavy metal featuring pounding drums, bowel moving bass, and razor sharp rhythm guitar topped off with lashings of tasteful lead guitar.
After several jam sessions, songs were born and we practised to get our set as tight as spandex on an 80s rocker. It consisted of high-energy originals with a few mighty covers to beef it up. Once this feat was achieved, we set out to conquer the stage. This started with a Halloween performance at the Magnet Leisure centre, which was appreciated by the hundreds, if not thousands, of screaming children.
After several more gigs and countless 18th birthday party performances it was time to get our stuff properly recorded. We managed to get four of our favourite songs recorded in two days. These recordings turned into our demo titled “No Escape”. Our title song from this demo was reviewed on Garageband.com as “So awesome it's borderline ridiculous”, “Could've been on vinyl in 1987” and “A band to keep an eye on.”
The Alfredo Contract plan to keep on rocking by playing as many gigs as possible and spreading the word of heavy metal through their music.
