Resound

Resound cite Hendrix as one of their influences when in truth they sound like a cross between Gomez and David Gray. Click on the right-hand audio clip link to listen to their song Learn and read their biography below.

Resound are:

Nathan Waite               Vocals
Ian Warnock                Guitar
Gavin Locke                  Drums
Stuart Atkinson            Bass / Vocals
Matt Gearing                Guitar

Resound are a five-piece indie rock band from Maidenhead, founded eight years ago by Nathan and Gavin at Nathan’s sheet metal works. After falling out with the original guitarist and giving him the boot along came Ian and Matt to keep the band rolling. Then after a few bass players had been and gone Stu snuck in to fill the role.

Following some earlier (very dodgy) gigs we entered a battle of the bands contest of which we got in to the regional finals but unfortunately didn’t quite make it to
the end.

From then on we have been doing gigs in and around London at venues such as the King’s Head, the Dublin castle, West 1 4 ,The Garage, The Rock Garden are next gig is at the Hope and Anchor in Islington on 25th September at 8.45pm.

Some of our influences include Hendrix, The Who, The Doors, Chilli Peppers, Blur, Supergrass and the Bluetones.

At the moment we have recorded a single and we are working
on an EP.

Resound are:

Nathan Waite               Vocals
Ian Warnock                Guitar
Gavin Locke                  Drums
Stuart Atkinson            Bass / Vocals
Matt Gearing                Guitar

Saw them at Hope and Anchor and at Dublin Castle they were excellent. Can't believe no one's signed them up. Better than all other music in charts.
