Rides last half an hour to an hour, and usually run from 12.30pm-5.30pm.

Walk

Berkshire has some fantastic countryside - perfect for a romantic stroll and picnic.

Choose from places like Bracknell Forest around the Look Out Discovery Centre, The Thames towpath at Henley on Thames, and Windsor Great Park.

Cook a meal

Why not take a leaf out of Henley chef Antony Worrall Thompson's book and cook a fabulous meal?

Try something from Antony's collection on www.bbc.co.uk/food like...

Scallops with Prawns and Asparagus wrapped in Pancetta

Seared beef Carpaccio with Avocado and Beetroot Salad with Citrus Dressing

Ricotta and Herb stuffed chicken

Followed by...

Strawberry Zabaglione

Sticky Croissant Toffee Pudding

Banoffee cookie bake

And why not wash the meal down with a nice bottle of Ascot bubbly from local wine producers Valley Vineyards.

Roses

If you want to give flowers that last longer than a week, try giving the Berkshire Rose.

It's a ground cover rose, cherry pink in colour with some fragrance.

Ask for the Berkshire or Korpinka rose at your local garden centre.

If none of this inspires you, tell us what you think the most romantic thing to do in Berkshire is...

Stay in bed knowing that if you want to go out and enjoy Berkshire you can . . . but not necessarily right now - maybe after one more cuddle!
