The BBC Trust Report: Editorial Controls & Compliance
In July 2007 the Director General announced a 10 point action plan to address the editorial failings that had emerged in the course of the year. The Trust said it would review the impact of the action plan once it had been implemented. This review was completed in the spring of 2008 and the Trust's conclusions are contained below.

The Trust commissioned an independent evaluation of the BBC's Action Plan and this was carried out by a small team led by Ronald Neil.

Economic Aspects of the use of Premium Rate Services by the BBC
In October of last year as part of its Fair Trading responsibilities, the Trust commissioned an independent review of the BBC's financial and contractual arrangements for premium rate services. The report below includes the review commissioned by the Trust from Pricewaterhouse Coopers, the Trust's conclusions in light of PwC's findings, and a response from the BBC Executive.
