The Charter and Agreement sets out the broad principles of how the Trust should function and how it should relate to the BBC Executive Board. The Charter requires us to publish protocols setting out how we go about putting these principles into practice.

Purpose remits
We set remits for each of the BBC's six public purposes and monitor the performance of the BBC in delivering the purposes in an annual purpose remit survey.
Statements of Programme Policy
The Statements of Programme Policy set out editorial priorities for each of the BBC's services for the coming year.
