TV licence fee collection review

The BBC Trust reviewed Licence Fee Collection in March 2009. Following publication of Trust's report, the BBC Executive has now agreed an action plan to implement the Trust's recommendations.

The BBC Trust has published its findings into how the licence fee is collected. The report assesses whether current collection arrangements are efficient, appropriate and proportionate. Overseeing the arrangements is a new responsibility for the BBC's governing body, which held a public consultation as part of the review process.
