Meet the Characters

The story before the wedding

The Dance

To add to the uniqueness of the night wedding guests were asked to take part in the wedding dance.

The Dress Code

It's a winter wedding so think glamour and warmth. Dress up smart - wear a suit or a frock – but have fun.

The colour code: Silver, gold, black and white. Bring a camera with a flash.

Frankenstein

By Mary Shelley

Frankenstein was first published in 1818 when Mary Shelley was only 20; the story was inspired by a nightmare and further developed on a rainy holiday in Switzerland.

Frankenstein's Wedding... Live in Leeds stays true to the novel's themes of ambition, science and ethics, prejudice and love, but focuses all the action on the wedding of Victor and Elizabeth - which isn't described in much detail in the original book.

In BBC Three's version, the bride focuses on the special day, unaware that the groom has made a bargain that will have dramatic consequences. The Creature, rejected by his 'father', demands his own chance for happiness.
