Jeremy Gilley's film Peace One Day was five years in the making and took him to every continent in the world in his efforts to make 21 September the only international day of peace with a fixed calendar date.
These are some of your emails about the film:
As a daughter of a kamikaze pilot, I highly appreciate the fact that I was brought up without experiencing any wars. I think Jeremy’s challenge was a valid first step to peace, as ‘experience of peace’ can be a powerful tool for changing people’s mind sets in conflicts.

What Jeremy has achieved is truly awe-inspiring. We need to stop arguing over silly things and all accept and appreciate each others beauty and culture. We also need to stop destroying this planet. His film goes to show that one person can make a difference.

A fantastic surprise to see such a thought-provoking and inspiring film. Why hasn't anyone thought of this before, it's so simple, why didn't I think of this?
The UN is the best thing the world has as a united planet and it was fascinating and encouraging to catch a glimpse of its workings.
Illuminating was the fact that peace doesn't sell papers or TV commercials - we have only ourselves to blame.
My next destination is the Peace One Day website to find out more and spread awareness.

JEREMY GILLEY INTERVIEW
It gives me great comfort to see that individuals can make a difference. Jeremys enthusiasm was second to none. Despite pifalls along the way he never lost hope or his cool. He has certainly inspired me. Well done.
Si Warren, London
The film was very inspiring and a wonderful insight into the ups and downs of a campaign. It was much more powerful to see it all on film rather than hearing Jeremy telling his story or reading about it. It made me want to support the cause and see what happens in the sequel.
Fleur Anderson, London
Brilliant, absorbing and inspiring. Peace One Day can affect global change by offering an alternative to war. It's what people yearn for. We need to answer the question why the press ignore such welcome news.
Judith Lemon, Cambridge
Jeremy Gilley was inspirational in how one person can do so much to galvanise action, and yet as was said at the end no ceasefire has happened because governments see it as a concept.
There has got to be a better way!
To see that on the day the UN launched a day of peace no media turned up was shocking. Yet when the Brixton concert needed publicity by having music/media personalities involved this got lots of media attention. How can people make a difference when they do not know about the cause? The media need to stand up and take responsibility.
We can carry on speaking and acting to make a difference. Well done and carry on.

JEREMY GILLEY INTERVIEW
Breathtaking, inspiring and astounding. Humanity is alive and well - and it's all Jeremy Gilley's fault!
Amazing.

The film brought me to tears. What one man can achieve in a relatively short time is unfathomable. His story is an inspiration. I will observe Peace One Day and urge everyone I know to do the same.
Please show the film on one of the mainstream BBC channels.
Darren Good, London
This documentary was excellent! I had never heard of the day before watching this, and I can't believe that this campaign has been kept so quiet.
