I loved this programme, I hope more than three episodes are made. Fantastically directed and written and the characters were perfectly played!

Edward Cannon, Worksop

This is the funniest programme we have watched in 40 years of TV viewing. Well done Jo and co, we laughed from beginning to the end. All actors and writers deserve awards for this piece of work.

Sheena and Lynne, Flintshire

I am just watching this programme, and am literally crying laughing. Jo Brand is absolutely brilliant as the nurse, and so is the lady doctor. This is rather typical of an inept NHS Ward although exaggerated of course. Hope the series lives up to this first episode.

Lynn Dalton, Stockport

What a stroke of genius. As a practicing nurse of 15 years I have seen it all. Only a nurse could have written such an disturbingly accurate portrayal of ward life. It made me laugh out loud and then feel deeply moved that only someone with insight into the environment could feel. Jo Brand has hit the nail on the head with this drama/comedy. So many egos, motivations and priorities, what a nightmare. I hope they will use this in training to show how corruption can creep in and how disingenuous people can come across. Much enjoyed programme. Looking forward to more.

Rachel, Northampton

I have never commented on a TV programme before, but felt that I had to comment on Getting On from BBC 4. I cannot wait for next week's ep, it was one of the funniest comedies I have seen in years. I adore Jo Brand and my husband and I laughed all the way through it. Its 'Office' documentary style made it easy to watch and all the characters were instantly likeable. I am sad that there are only three eps, I hope and pray there will be many, many more!

Clare Argent, Warrington

This really is the funniest programme I've seen on telly for years. I absolutely love it. Brilliantly written and performed. Jo Brand is fantastic, as are the rest of the cast. Really hope more will be made than just these three episodes. Award-winning stuff I reckon.

Jane Jones, London

As a nurse working with the elderly in an NHS hospital I have to say that this series is inspired. It is the funniest, truest piece of television I have seen in a long time.

Polly, Torquay

Can we please please please have more of this! This is the first time I've ever felt compelled to comment on a TV show but this is easily the funniest thing I've seen in a while, the acting is brilliant all round, and it seems very accurately observed.

Antony de Borgho, London

Saw 'Getting On' and absolutely loved it! Very observant, clever programme; it had us laughing out loud! Just wondering if 'Getting On' will be revived as a serial on BBC 1 or 2? Would love to see more of this fantastic comedy.

Rebecca Dimmick, Leatherhead

I loved this programme. Jo Brand et al should give themselves a big pat on the back for being brave enough to tackle this subject and make it toe-curlingly funny.

Steff, Leeds

This has been a wonderful series. Absolutely hilarious and also rather touching. The level of talent of those involved has combined to make programmes that are even greater than the sum of those considerable parts. Excellent.

Douglas Templeton, Glasgow

Really funny programme, best comedy for years, very clever writing and brilliantly performed. Please, please may we have some more of the same.

C Lawrence, Northamptonshire

Absolutely brilliant. Jo Brand is amazing and very funny. Quite scary though how true to life this programme really is.

Neil Savage, Penryn, Cornwall

I have worked for 22 years in nursing. I watched this on my own in my lounge and can honestly say I was howling loudly with laughter while I watched this. To all the writers - you have managed to capture the culture, absurdity, outrageous bureaucracy and beauty of the NHS in these three episodes. It is perfection. Please bring us some more.

Gaby Coia, Glasgow

Getting On is one of the best programmes I have seen in years. It's beautifully, tightly written, glorious understated acting and heart breakingly, but also laugh out loud, funny. I feel like I know the characters so well already - I hope that another much much longer series has been commissioned. It captures the Kafkaesque public sector so well, but the warmth and caring of Den and Kim really shine through.

Emma Chaplin, Heswall

Getting On is one of the best new sitcoms the BBC has made in many years. I really hope there are more episodes commissioned soon as the writers' humour and the direction is spot on.

Mark Wolstenholme, Preston

A brilliant programme. The acting is wonderful and it is extremely funny and has made me laugh out loud many times. I've never commented on a programme before, but I was so impressed by this I felt I had to say something. As an ex-nurse, I thought it was a very perceptive portrayal of the pettiness, disguised in management mumbo-jumbo, that really motivates the behaviour of some staff.

Hilary Hardwicke, Tiverton

Brilliant programme. I haven't laughed so much in ages. As a recently retired senior nurse I could recognise every character. Please, please continue. I am about to email older colleagues to make sure they have watched this, I just know they will feel the same as I do.

Barbara Windross, Middlesbrough

What a brilliant programme. Jo Brand is superb as are the other actors. Please make another episode. It should be on BBC One at prime time.

Ann Hawkins, Hythe

Wonderfully written and disturbingly accurate insight into working for the 'modern' NHS. Perfect casting and my own moan is that it should have been a long running series. By the time I had spread the word, it was off air. Hope it makes a comeback on BBC One or Two so everyone who missed it has the chance to enjoy the BBC getting it so right.

Nic Anscombe, Bracknell

This series was so entertaining, we ended up watching all three episodes in one session on the iPlayer. Fantastic comedy, well executed.

L Whitehurst and C Davies, Derby

Please Mrs Brand more of the same, What a great comedy show. Next time make it more episodes and bring back Ivy as often as possible she had me in stitches. Keep up the great work, And Jo Brand you are a natural actor.

Steven, Plymouth

One of the best programmes I have watched in a long time. Could not stop laughing at it. Jo and the rest of the cast are amazing. Please make more.

Absolutely brilliant. Just had some friends to stay and we stayed up late watching all three episodes as they wouldn't go to bed till they'd seen it all. We loved watching it second time round for all the nuances. Perfection. We need more to feed the habit.

Alison, Sidmouth

Could not believe only three episodes made of this - very rich comedy seam to be mined still! Engaging characters and very funny, great deadpan acting and although I am not part of the NHS just the union meeting was crazily on the button and recognisable... very much hope for more.

Jan Winter, Bristol

This is such a refreshing comedy, original and so funny. I hope more episodes are to follow at some point. Would be such a shame if this wasn't developed.

Emma Little, Leeds

Watched every episode and was so disappointed to find that only 3 have been made! Definite potential for a really cracking series here.

Jeff, London

Absolutely brilliant, watched all three episodes on iPlayer in one evening, and cannot wait for more.

Agnes, London

I just wanted to say that I think this programme was hilarious and just briliant for its realism and awkward moments. Please do some more episodes.

Sharon, Wigan
