Allium
2000
55 cm-150 cm in diameter
Stainless steel, powder coating

"The Allium sculpture is inspired by the allium flower head. When it is displayed in gallery settings it takes on a very contemporary sculptural feel, yet when placed outside, the natural light gives it this very delicate appearance.

"It stands very strongly on its own as a single piece, but they also work well in groups."

These pieces are fully welded from stainless steel and vary in size from 55 cm to 150 cm in diameter.

i think this flower isn't really suppose to have a percific place or location. since it's shaped like the world maybe the artist wants people to use their own imagination and guess whaere it is or even make a whole new different place.

Gloria Partida from L.A
