Jersey Museum The Barreau-Le Maistre Art Gallery at the Jersey Museum is part of the Jersey Heritage Trust.

The display is divided into themed subject areas such as portraiture, landscape painting and sculpture, with a strong focus on Jersey themes and artists.

Barber Institute of Fine Arts, University of Birmingham The Barber Institute houses an impressive collection of Old Master and impressionist paintings.

More recently, however, the Institute has built up an excellent 20th century collection of works on paper.

Joseph and the Suitors - Please check with the gallery to see if the picture is on display. It is a part of the permanent collection, but has a painting on the reverse and may be turned to display the other picture
Guildhall Art Gallery 
Guildhall Art Gallery The Corporation of London's art collection and the remains of Roman London's Amphitheatre are housed in a new Gallery which opened in 1999.

Among the highlights are Victorian art, including famous Pre-Raphaelite works, and London images from the 16th Century to the present day.

National Gallery The National Gallery houses one of the world's greatest collections of Western European paintings, spanning the period from about 1250 to 1900. It contains more than 2,300 paintings including works from artists such as Monet, Constable and Leonardo da Vinci.

National Maritime Museum, Greenwich The National Maritime Museum is the largest and most important museum of its kind in the world. Its collections illustrate the importance of the sea, ships, time and the stars and their relationship to people. The Museum incorporates the Royal Observatory Greenwich, and the Queen's House, which houses the Museum's art collection. All are situated within Greenwich Royal Park at the heart of the Maritime Greenwich World Heritage Site.

Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew 
Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew The Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew is set in 300 acres and is home to the world's most comprehensive collection of living plants.

Beyond the landscaped gardens and glasshouses are Kew's archives which contain over 200,000 botanical illustrations. Although not on view to the public, the illustrations, including the Redouté featured on this website, are held in the Library and Archives. Viewings by appointment.

Tate Britain 
Tate Britain Tate Britain is the national gallery of British art from 1500 to the present day, encompassing work by Blake, Hockney, Rossetti, and Turner. Historic and modern works hang together in challenging juxtaposition, aiming to draw new meanings from famous and familiar images.

McLellan Gallery, Glasgow 
McLellan Gallery, Glasgow The McLellan Galleries first opened in 1854 to house the personal collection of Glasgow industrialist and coachbuilder Archibald McLellan. His collection formed the basis of the art collection at Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum.

The McLellan Galleries now provide a high-quality temporary exhibition space until Kelvingrove re-opens, due in 2006.
